As we finish up our final interactions with Carr Golf Travel for the 2008 Board trip, we wanted to send you a note to say thank you for all the work your team did for us to make this trip a smashing success. We know the time and dedication it takes to make sure that every little detail is looked after and taken care of. Your team did such a wonderful job on every detail – the whole trip seemed seamless. Any little problems that did arise were handled quickly and quietly with unmatched grace and charm.

We could never have done this without the efforts of Ciara and Peter under the extraordinary leadership of Catherine. Peter and Ciara were always gracious and kind, and offered assistance whenever required. They went above and beyond the call of duty many times to ensure that the trip was an extraordinary experience. They dealt with challenges swiftly and with courtesy. Many of the trip participants commented on Peter and his personal investment in the trip - the day in Derry in particular with John Hume. They were touched that he was so moved and we felt honored to have impacted him in such a way.

As for Catherine, I do not believe we could ever say enough kind words to express how much we appreciate everything she did for us. She is organized beyond belief, totally unflappable, kind, caring, dedicated, efficient...the list goes on and on. No matter what the problem, she handled everything so effortlessly - even when the issues were strange and panic inducing. Our Board members loved her, as did we, and felt totally taken care of the entire trip. She was so kind to help us with all of our cancellations, changes, etc. Even as she has been so busy and so sick the last couple of weeks, she continues to be attentive and helpful. We hope you realize what a gem you have in her, and please know we would hire her to be on our staff in a heartbeat if she would come.

Again, thank you for everything you and your staff did to help us with this trip. It was an amazing experience.

Thanks again for arranging our trip.  We all had a great time, made especially good because:

-We had pretty good weather (it poured on us at Waterville, but otherwise not bad).
-The courses were terrific
-The coach was super
-Our driver, Tim, was spectacular

Of course, there's the Irish countryside to marvel at during our time in the coach.

By the way, we all agreed that Old Head may be the best course in the world.  It probably helped that the rain and wind held off until just when we were done.

Also, thank you so much for our special gift.  The duffels came in very handy for bringing back the extra things we ended up buying.

I just wanted to let you know what an incredible job Mark Byrne has done for me and my clients.  We just returned from a trip to St. Andrews and the experience completely exceeded all of my expectations.  Mark was a tremendous help to me during the entire process….he looked after all of my questions (and there were a lot of them!), he was very patient, and he made sure all of the details (even the very small ones) were met with nothing left to chance.  He also checked in with me during the trip a few times to make sure everything was OK which I really appreciated.  Planning a trip like this for important clients takes a lot of work and planning,  and Mark was a thorough professional during the entire process. 

I am sure you get emails like this from other happy clients about Mark, but I wanted to make sure you heard from me as well.  If our group decides to do another trip like this, I assure you I will use Carr Golf Travel….and of course, I will ask for Mark.

Peter - It seems like only yesterday when I originally contacted Carr Golf Travel and requested your assistance in planning and arranging for our golfing trip to Ireland for this year. Unfortunately, we have now returned from Ireland and a fantastic golfing trip is over; it went far too quickly. We were very fortunate that you referred us to Sean Clancy who was able to answer all of our questions, plan the trip to our best advantage and co-ordinate and accommodate us as we arrived at the itinerary which met our objectives. It is a pleasure to deal with an individual who is responsive as Sean is, and who handles himself in a totally professional manner. I must admit that I had concerns regarding dealing with a firm that is thousands of miles away. However, Sean was so responsive and communicated so well that my concerns quickly evaporated.

Sean sent me a questionnaire and requested our detailed comments on the trip. I will be completing the questionnaire. I apologize for the delay in this letter. I've been meaning to write and send this since I returned from Inverness, Scotland. To recap, I was the planner for a very senior level Citigroup Outing in Inverness, Scotland from July 21-28, 2004 and had the opportunity to work with Catherine Murphy from Carr Golf Travel. During this week, clients, guests and Citigroup Directors played golf, participated in a variety of local activities and enjoyed the Scottish culture.

The event was extremely important for the Citigroup Directors due to the seniority of clients and business being conducted. All details had to be perfect to create the desired atmosphere. All details were perfect thanks to the assistance of Catherine Murphy. She was by my side the entire time from the planning stages until the final airport departure. She and I became a team, working together to create a very successful event. I could count on Catherine for everything ! She never said no and followed up on details before I asked. Everything she did was done to perfection. The clients and guests enjoyed Catherine and commented on how well she knew the area and golf courses.

Since this was the first trip to Scotland for many of the clients they looked to Catherine for guidance and comfort. The vendors Catherine hired for transportation and tours were an excellent addition to the team. Everyone was professional, polite and extremely attentive. It was their goal, along with Catherine's to ensure all clients and guests had an excellent week. This goal was achieved with high marks. When I returned, I received rave reviews from many clients and the Citigroup Directors. They expressed their appreciation for a job well done. This credit must be shared with Catherine and her team because I could not have done it without them. Catherine is a true professional and is a true asset to Carr Golf Travel. I am looking forward to working with Carr Golf Travel & Catherine again in the near future.

Thanks so much again for all your help with our trip. We all had a wonderful time, and fortunately the weather was cooperative! Mike Finn was tremendous and you should endeavour to use his services any time he is available...his efforts on her behalf were much appreciated, and it does make a difference! Also, the Tides Guesthouse in Ballybunion is a place we all would highly recommend. David Walsh does a very nice job and was most hospitable! The Butler Arms was a fine choice as well.
Finally, the chopper pilot, John, was excellent. Once again thanks for the wind shirt, and the others in our group really loved theirs, too! Your group at Carr Golf Travel was once again a tremendous help in making an unforgettable experience in Ireland. We look forward to working with you again when we plan our next trip!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end, and we must immediately give credit not only to your interest and good planning, but to John Clifford who really insured a wonderful experience for all of us. John was always on time, always made correct suggestions about allocation of time, places of interest, restaurants, history and understanding of Ireland, and was generally good company. As for his interest in making sure that the women had a good time, again John was superb - going out of his way and driving hours extra just so that we might have a bit more time in a particular city. Our arrival was smooth, all hotels were without exception, the Merrion especially good, excellent, the bed and breakfasts, charming and the service pleasant and delightful in all cases.

The trip was first rate right from following up my initial inquiry until we departed. The work that was also done with the emergency departure of one of our group was also great, so thank you very much. Not sure when we will be traveling back to Ireland for another experience there but I would not hesitate to use Carr Golf Travel again or for that matter suggesting the company to anyone interested in travelling to any of the destinations that you serve. For the lateness and number of changes that we had Sean go through for our group, right up to missing our first flight, I’m surprised he still wanted to deal with us and didn’t send us packing with a road map and fistful of bus transfers A fantastic job. Not too sure what Peter was expecting for our group but he sure did a marvelous job of putting up with us and accommodating our many idiosyncrasies. Always having to be on call and then also the amount of driving that our itinerary involved we were grateful to have Peter with us.

Sarah was fantastic. I would recommend her highly. She was responsive and followed up. Everything ran smoothly due to her efforts. I had a great time in Ireland and will definitely use Carr Golf Travel again!!!
